Today´s notable verse:

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

We used to sing a hymn in church:

Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us
Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us
that we should be called the sons of God
that we should be called the sons of God

What a wonderful thought: the Father lavishing (what a great description!) His love on us, such that we might be considered His sons!
