Barack Obama: Pregnancy a “Punishment”
Filed in Democrats, Elections, Fatherhood, Politics, Sanctity of Life, Social IssuesOn the campaign trail over the weekend, Barack Obama tried to assuage the socially conservative democrats of Western Pennsylvania regarding his pro-abortion stance. He starts with the typical, liberal, stance when confronted by an admonition to stop abortions:
“This is a very difficult issue, and I understand sort of the passions on both sides of the issue,” he said. “I have two precious daughters — they are miracles.”
But politicians must trust women to make the right decisions for themselves, he said.
“This is an example where good people can disagree,” the Illinois senator said. “The question then is, are there areas that we can agree to that everybody can get behind? We can all agree that we want to reduce teen pregnancies. We can all agree that we want to make sure that adoption is a viable option.”
This response is, of course, the typical liberal approach of ignoring the biological reality that an abortion impacts not just the woman carrying the unborn child, but also the separate, unique life that is that unborn child. Note also the canard about adoption (the viability of which is a non-issue, but ostensibly sounds good when making such deflection).
Unfortunately for Obama, he continued on with his comments in an attempt to persuade the audience regarding sex education – and in so doing revealed his true beliefs.
Somehow, I don’t think his comments will have their intended affect (emphasis added):
“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information.”
There you have it: babies are a “punishment” resulting from a mistake – the moral equivalent of contracting an STD.
Of course, what else would one expect, from such a radical proponent of abortion such as Barack Hussein Obama?

From here forward, instead of expecting “a little bundle of joy,” will a mother-to-be expect “a little bundle of punishment?”

Wow, indeed, Chris. This is going to be a long campaign cycle for Obama; every time he opens his mouth, he exposes himself.

Um…last time I checked if you are having sex with a condom or while on birth control, and you end up pregnant it’s called a MISTAKE. And since the majority of conceptions are, so sayeth the parents, “accidental” conceptions, they are, in other words, MISTAKES. It IS punishment to force an unwilling woman to carry a growing child for nine months knowing that she does not want a child, had no intention of having a child, and used contraceptive devices to avoid having a child. It IS punishment to force an unwilling CHILD to carry another CHILD to term, knowing that the child cannot properly care for the infant and is not anatomically designed to bear children yet. It IS punishment to force any human being, against their will, to endure all the bodily punishment that is carrying a baby to term. And if you don’t believe that carrying a baby to term is punishment to the body, take a look at infant mortality rates before modern medicine. If an impregnated female is EXPECTING (read: wanting and trying) to have a baby, of course it would be a joyful experience. For an impregnated female, child or adult, to be carrying a child that they did not and were not EXPECTING to have, it is PUNISHMENT. As if this world weren’t overpopulated enough. If you care so much about the children, the poor, poor children, go ADOPT one of the MILLIONS living in poverty and despair because they were ACCIDENTS, they were MISTAKES, and their mothers were not EXPECTING them. Of course, nobody wants a five-year-old. Nobody wants a ten-year-old. Nobody wants anything other than a fresh-from-the-womb infant. Don’t preach about the children if you won’t take one in unless they’re under the age of one year. Because most people, including most of your commentators, including ME (because I am not EXPECTING a child, nor am I prepared, mentally or financially to raise one) are not willing to take one in. By the way, I just clapped my hands together several times and killed more cells in that heinous act that you do when destroying the zygote in a next-day abortion. And did you know that the average sexually active woman using the calendar method of birth control (approved by churches everywhere as an alternate to condoms and birth control pills) has MORE abortions, since the sperm can actually get to the egg, but (if done successfully) the egg is on it’s way out with the menstrual flow too soon to grow into a baby? Amazing, amazing, the way nature works. God’s approved method of abortion: MONTHLY MENSTRUATION. Go look it up, before you post anymore silly comments.

A pregnancy that results from having sex is never a mistake; it is the always-possible outcome. Sex potentially introduces sperm and egg, which always has the potential to result in conception. Various methods of birth control reduce the chances of either conception or implantation; however, no birth control is 100% effective. A couple’s preparation or desire (or lack thereof) for pregnancy do not change this reality. The simple principle remains, now and forever: if a couple does not want to get pregnant, they should not have sex.
No matter how much you consider it a “punishment” for a woman to carry an unwanted child, or for man and woman to assume the responsibility of that child after birth, that alleged punishment will never outweigh the moral atrocity of murdering an innocent human being.
Are you truly so dereft of biological understanding that you would equate epidermal cells with a developing embryo? Clapping your hands together does not result in the ending of human life. Killing an embryo does.
Oh, and I will post whatever I choose to post, on a blog that I maintain on a host for which I pay – regardless of your admonishment otherwise or your continued attempts at moral equivalence. If you can’t understand the difference between an embryo not implanting in the uterus and a conscious, willful, pre-meditated murder of an embryo then it is obvious that you have nothing constructive to add to this conversation.
By the way, please use how to use paragraphs. Your inane, liberal ranting is tedious enough to read as it is.
