The Early Years

Born June 9th, 1977, William Edward Bennett, II. Son of William Edward and Karen Ann Bennett. My parents have called me "Chip" since birth, because they did not want anyone to call me "junior." I was born in Indianapolis, IN, but grew up in Shelbyville, IN.

While in high school, I participated in many activities and held many leadership positions. I played the Trumpet in Marching Band (for which I was the Drum Major my senior year), Jazz Band, Concert Band, Wind Band, Pit Orchestra, Pep Band, Spanish Club, Academic Team (I was the captain of the Brain Game team my senior year), Varsity Tennis team, Varsity Basketball team (as a student manager), and various other organizations. I also had the honor to attend such programs as Hoosier Boys State, as well as to be inducted into the National Honor Society.

My principal interest, however, was the then-North American Christian Convention administered Bible Bowl, in which I competed as a member of the team from my home church Town and Country Christian Church. See the Bible Bowl page for information on what it is, and what I did.

I graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1995.
